The Ritual is a short interactive fiction piece based on an event that happened on my friends' on-going TTRPG adventure co-created by my partner Andrew Hernandez, who also made the art for this game (if you click his name, you'll also find a section specifically for our TTRPG filled with art and more info about our player characters)! 

Follow a knight as he endures a costly mistake, one that the players never got to truly see. This is my take on what happened, and an open door for others to see what my friends and I do for fun!

Music included in this project (Amnesia, played throughout, and Grief, played at the end) was created by my friend Nicolas Aizpurua, while the other track (played during the middle portion) was made by Vivek Abhishek on YouTube (copyright free)!

  • Do not block Cookies, as this may interfere with the audio.
  • This game can also be played on mobile devices, but works best on desktop. If you do decide to play on a mobile device, make sure you're in Landscape mode!
  • Do not try and go back using your browser's arrows, as this may break the audio! Instead, play out your route, and start again at the end!
  • If the game at any point breaks, the best thing to do is to start from a clean slate--that means erasing browser history of the game! Trust me, it works!
